Tristan Cockman is an expert in all things commercial leasing. He has been a leasing lawyer for more than 13 years.

Prior to starting his own firm, he worked at a top tier law firm. He set up Justice Legal in 2017.

Tristan Cockman has a passion for drafting. A leasing lawyer through and through, he enjoys studying every word on the page. He is a big fan of plain English. He is not a fan of Latin. He has spent more than 200 hours on perfecting his lease templates.

Tristan knows that the length of the lease matters. A long lease can scare away likely tenants. Due to his focus on drafting, his base lease is only 60 pages long. And this is while keeping all content.

An out of date lease is one of Tristan’s pet hates. Laws and trends change over time. A lease should change with them. Tristan updates his leases often to take in these changes.

One main change is the growth in solar. If your lease does not give you rights to install an embedded network, you should speak to Tristan. Solar is now a real income stream for landlords.

Tristan is down to earth, honest and direct. He speaks plainly with no hidden meanings. He believes in giving value to his clients. If you have a question about his lease, he will answer it. He will not try to charge more.

If we have learned anything in recent times, it is the power of working from home. As with leases, work must also change with the times. Tristan is mobile and can visit you if you require. Else, he works from home. This is so he can provide more value to you.

Tristan is more than happy to hear from you. For all your leasing needs, please contact him.
