Public Interest Lawyer Perth
Public interest litigation is the use of the law to advance matters of public interest such as equality, accountability and transparency. It usually involves legal action against public bodies particularly by judicial review. However, it may also involve private law matters that seek to test, clarify and develop the law and includes class actions.
Unfortunately, many people who are victims of improper decision making cannot afford to bring legal action to correct the wrong. Many improper decisions go unchallenged.
We undertake public interest litigation on a case by case basis. We are yet to have the capability of undertaking public interest litigation on a pro-bono basis; however, we are currently in talks with philanthropic people with a view to setting up a charity group that funds public interest litigation. If you are interested in taking part, please contact us.
